Ojai is the perfect Southern California escape; nestled within the beautiful foothills and surrounded by some of California’s most majestic oak trees lies the Ojai Valley Inn. It was here that Catherine and Scott said their vows.

As I’ve traveled around the world, I’ve noticed that the quality of light seems to be distinct to each place and I love to watch and see how that light fills a space and transforms a moment. Lit by the warm light of the California Sun, Shayna & Seth’s wedding was beautifully set amongst an old olive grove followed by their reception set underneath a gorgeous starry night sky.

San Ysidro Ranch has to be one of the most iconic and beautiful places to get married at in Santa Barbara and it’s always a thrill for us to shoot there. Sarah & Ian’s wedding was full of colors that reflected the season as well as their own personal style. The design was rich and vibrant and totaling fitting for this fall wedding.

Set in what has to be one of the most idyllic Southern Californian locations, Kirsten & Tim’s Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse Wedding took place atop the rolling hills of Santa Ynez Valley wine country; their wedding was full of classic rustic, elements and personal touches like a six layer cheese cake. Santa Ynez has some of the most beautiful locations and I’m always so blessed to shoot in such beautiful scenery.

The California sunlight in the late summer -Â early fall, is one of my all time favorite things and it really comes through in Brianne & Brien’s wedding film. The sunlight’s soft warmth wraps around everything. It was the perfect compliment to the warm and subtle textures incorporated throughout their wedding day, all beautifully put together by Alexandra Kolendrianos with floral design by Mindy Rice.
